Plants vs Zombies shuffles onto iPhone
Feb 15th 2010 at 10:55 by Will Freeman

PopCap has launched its popular tower defense title Plants vs Zombies for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Previously available as a download and retail release on both PC and Mac, the game arrives on the Apple platforms with a range of extra content and new features.
"Plants vs Zombies on for iPhone and iPod Touch marks the first adaption of our wildly popular 'flower defense' game to a new platform, and we're excited at how well it has translated to the iPhone and iPod Touch," said PopCap's director of mobile platforms Andrew Stein.
"We've stayed true to the original computer version with the full-featured gameplay of Adventure mode, and we've optimised this adaptation around a seamless touch interface. Plus, we've added great content, including the new Quick Play Arena which allows easy replay of any level after completing the Adventure mode, and more than a dozen achievements to reward successful completion of in-game challenges."
The iPhone release, which was confirmed on CasualGaming.biz last week, is priced at £1.79, or €2.39, offering consumers a substantial saving on the price of the original version, which hit retail at just under £10.
Plants vs Zombies is available on the App Store now.
