Feb 9th 2010 at 15:22 by Stuart Dredge

EA Mobile generated $56 million of GAAP revenues in the fourth quarter of 2009 - its fiscal Q3 2010. That's up 14% year-on-year. That means that EA's wireless division generated $206 million of GAAP revenues for the 2009 calendar year, cementing its position as the biggest mobile games publisher.
Last week, Gameloft revealed Q4 revenues of €31.8 million ($43.7 million), taking it to €122 million ($167.5 million) for the year.
CFO Eric Brown gave some of the highlights from Q4 in the company's earnings call last night.
"We had seven of the top eleven games in December for iPhone and four of the top five selling games for 2009," he said.
"EA had seven of the top ten games on Verizon for the quarter and achieved over 50% of the top ten games on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile."
EA also reports non-GAAP revenues, which it said were $57 million for the wireless business in the fourth quarter of 2009.
