3D FPS Brave Arms coming to Facebook
Feb 5th 2010 at 15:26 by Ben Parfitt

Casual games are becoming increasingly popular. As a result, many devs hoping to make a standout product have been gradually complicating their titles. And thus we stand here today, faced with Facebook’s first ever 3D first person shooter.
Of course, it would specious to say that FPS games cannot be for the mass-market, and 3G Studios’ Brave Arms certainly includes plenty of nods to the casual audience.
Dubbed a “social shooter”, the game will allow users to heavily customise their avatars and compete with others on their Facebook friends list. Credits can be earned in-game and then spent in the game’s digital store.
“Our new title, Brave Arms, will bring FPS games to the masses,” 3G Studios CEO James Kosta stated.
“It's about fast-paced action and either competing against or forming teams with your friends. We want people to feel empowered and to share in a real video game experience.”
Those interested in signing up for the upcoming public beta can do so on the game’s Facebook page.
