Layoffs confirmed at Oberon Media
Dec 21st 2009 at 12:03 by Ben Parfitt

Expansive casual games provider Oberon Media has been hit with what is speculated to be a large number of layoffs, with former COO Don Ryan having confirmed his departure and that he intends to open his own New York based venture.
The news comes from Business Insider, which is quoting a former employee as claiming 100 jobs have been lost, around 15-20 per cent of the firm’s workforce.
An Oberon rep has gone as far as to confirm that layoffs have been made, but refused when pressed to confirm or deny the number. A statement reads:
"Oberon is making strategy and organisational changes to better position the company for growth. Changes involve some reduction in force, while others include large new investments."
