Pac-Man Championship Edition arrives on iPhone

Having proved that a bare-bones retro classic can be successfully revitalised with the Xbox Live release of the wonderful Pac-Man Championship Edition in 2007, an iPhone version of the game has now munched its way onto the App Store.
Though the game remains very loyal to the 1980 arcade original, Championship Edition adds several new variables to the mix including shifting mazes and a modern techno-soundtrack, as well as a Geometry Wars-esque visual makeover.
Converting twitch-based games to iPhone can be a little daunting, and Namco has opted for a on-screen twin stick approach.
The game is currently priced at £1.79 for a limited time.
