Retro Atari games arrive online
Nov 24th 2009 at 12:24 by Ben Parfitt

Atari’s online reinvention continues with news that the long-time publisher has released free-to-play browser-based versions of six of its classic retro arcade licenses.
The publisher’s re-jigged website currently offers four arcade outings Asteroids, Battlezone, Crystal Castles, Lunar Lander as well as Atari 2600 duo Adventure and Yar’s Revenge.
There’s also plenty of information about some of Atari’s more recent hits – such as Champions Online and Ghostbusters – as well as the highly-anticipated upcoming MMO Star Trek Online.
Earlier this month CasualGaming.biz reported that Atari had launched a surprise Facebook photo manipulation app called Atari Photo Sauce.
