Tony Hawk skates onto mobile with Vert

Glu has released Tony Hawk Vert for mobile phones, which is available now on all major carriers. Arriving just in advance of console release Tony Hawk Ride, the mobile game is preceeded by 10 console and handheld installations in what is the most successful skateboarding series of all time.
“We are excited to bring mobile gamers a new and exciting Tony Hawk title that includes an innovative point-of-view that literally drops players into the half-pipe of skateboarding action,” said Alex Galvagni, CTO and senior vice president of Global Product Development at Glu. “The new tricks, variety of gameplay and bonus mini games will keep players doing grinds and kickflips for hours.”
Including a a unique 3D visual satyle, Vert boasts a huge range of intricately-named tricks including the so-called Birdman's signature 900, Japan air, air walk and rocket air moves. With three locations and a dozen challenge types to master, such as score and timed challenges and copycat and 'extreme skater' tasks.
A number of bonus mini games are also included, letting players respond to trick requests from the crowd or take a turn at action skate photography.
