Fallen EP-1 brings survival horror to iPhone
Nov 23rd 2009 at 10:43 by Will Freeman

Italian developer 7th Sense has revealed that its forthcoming title Fallen EP-1 is awaiting approval from Apple, meaning a release date could be near. Pitched as the iPhone's first 'real' survival horror game, Fallen promises to combine the gameplay of classic graphic adventures and modern action titles.
Featuring more than 40 dark, gloomy locations, according to a rather strange company statement apparently written by the game's hot-headed jailbird antihero Roman Mendez, the gameplay focuses on helping the protagonist escape various nightmarish scenarios in a deserted prison. Combining combat, exploration, minigames and object collecting, Fallen EP-1 also features an overarching narrative.
Boasting a specially composed score and 2.5D visuals, from the few screens available Fallen EP-1 clearly takes influence from the most famous examples of the survival horror genre.
While further details on the game are in short supply, its appears to be episodic in nature, with the initial release combining a pair of installments.
The developer is hoping for a December 2009 release.
