EA Mobile revenues climb 14%
Aug 5th 2009 at 14:27 by Ben Parfitt

Alongside its success on the Wii and PC, EA also enjoyed a strong quarter in the mobile sector in the three months ending June 30th with news that revenues at the EA Mobile division were up 14 per cent year-on-year at $50m.
EA released 11 iPhone games in the period including the chart-topping The Sims 3, Sim City and Spore Origins. Its success is all the more praiseworthy considering that all three titles were priced at $9.99 – a big move in the typically price-sensitive iPhone market.
It also published ten mobile titles.
EA claims the numbers maintain its position as the world’s largest mobile games publisher.
