Jul 23rd 2009 at 16:40 by Will Freeman

Disney Interactive is publishing a game based on the classic Louis Carroll book Alice in Wonderland.
The game is to be released as a tie-in to the Walt Disney Pictures' film of the same name, which stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Mia Wasikowska, and is directed by Tim Burton.
The games and movies are scheduled to see release on the same week in early 2010. The Disney Interactive title is to be released on Wii, DS and PC.
"These games fully capture the magnificent and whimsical world of Underland while experiencing key moments from the film,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios.
“More than just a retelling of the movie, Alice in Wonderland introduces fans to an entirely new style of innovative gameplay designed to challenge the puzzle solving skills of older players while making the adventures accessible and enjoyable for the younger crowd. Innovative gameplay and distinct artistic styles on each platform gives players a range of unique and engaging experiences."
Alice in Wonderland lets players guide, protect and aid Alice as she journeys through the world of Underland unraveling the game’s many twisted mysteries and puzzles. Fans of the books can call on infamous cast of characters such as the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat, each of whom have unique abilities to help solve puzzles and evade traps.
The games are being developed for Disney by Etranges Libellules in France.
