First premium content heading to Sims 3 on iPhone

Few franchises have mastered the art of keeping things fresh and keeping the money rolling as much as The Sims – so news that EA will soon be introducing its first paid-for DLC for the iPhone version of The Sims 3 is certainly no shock.

Pocket Gamer reports that five themes are set to be released shortly – Nightlife, Sci-Fi, Gothic, Medieval and University. Each will come with a number of items that players can use to dress their Sims and decorate their houses.

The official EA Mobile Sims website is also running a competition to choose the theme of the next offering. The contenders are Vampires & Werewolves, Rock Star, Hip-Hop, Preppy, 70s, 80s, Lap of Luxury and Jock/Sporty.

As with all other titles hoping to sell in-game DLC, users hoping to take advantage of the content will need to have a 3.0-enabled iPhone or iPod Touch.

There’s no word yet on the release date or prices.

Indie developers and people of color, people of the lower class strata, BOYCOTT EA GAMES.

They are monopolizing the Games Industry so that indie developers cannot have a chance to become successful. I repeat, DO NOT BUY EA GAMES. DO you want to perpetuate the GREEDY FAT PIGFEST,... using Your hard earned money to Traffic illegally aged Asian girls for Corporate Sex Orgies ?!

BOYCOTT EA GAMES. Don't let these greedy fat pigs carry on with their monopoly.
