‘No plans’ to bring Amazon WiiWare codes to UK
Apr 22nd 2009 at 14:48 by Ben Parfitt

Amazon took its second big stride into the digital console content market earlier today with the introduction of WiiWare code sales through its US portal – but Nintendo has told CasualGaming.biz that it has no plans to bring the offer to the UK.
North American Amazon users can now buy codes online that will unlock games, with the first being World of Goo, from WiiWare through the Wii console. A similar sales model was introduced for Xbox Live Arcade titles earlier this month.
Also similar is Nintendo’s response. It joins Microsoft in claiming that the promotion is strictly a North America only affair for now.
But if it proves successful its hard to imagine both platform holders not trying the same on this side of the Atlantic.
