Japanese developer Q-Games has stated that its most recent PS3 release for Sony’s PS3, PixelJunk Eden, turned a profit within 24 hours of it being released onto Sony’s service.
The claims came from Sony’s Susan Panico, courtesy of Joystiq.
Tokyo based Q-Games was founded by former Argonaut Software and Sony developer Dylan Cuthbert. The studio is most famed for its successful PixelJunk series on PSN, which has seen three releases – PixelJunk Racers, PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Eden.
An expansion for Eden, dubbed Encore, will be out next month.
Whilst undoubtedly designed with a casual audience in mind, the PixelJunk series has won itself a dedicated hardcore offering, leaving it in the somewhat unique position of straddling two quite separate markets.

Yeah, I am really happy about the pixeljunk success story. They are delivering exactly what fits the PSN mindset. Easy to access games with a large hardcore potential if you like to. Furthermore the Eden Game is super stylish and the soundtrack is superb.
They have a forth game in development, you can get a small glimpse, when downloading and watching the interview with Q-Games, that can be found in the PSN Store for free.
Enjoy!
