Pajitnov, Minoru and Rogers take Tetris online

Alexey Pajitnov, the original designer and creator of Russian gaming sensation Tetris, is on board as one of the team bringing Tetris to a whole new generation of gamers in the newly revealed Tetris Friends Online Games.
Other members of Pajitnov’s team include former Nintendo of America president Minoru Arakawa and Henk Rogers – the man who played an instrumental part in Nintendo’s securing of the Tetris license in the late ‘80s.
The portal boasts a number of new single and multiplayer game modes that have been designed to be accessible to players of all ages and experience. It also includes high-score leaderboards, personal profiles, avatars and unlockable items.
“We are proud to offer fans of Tetris unlimited access to America’s favourite casual game on Tetris Friends Online Games,” Minoru Arakawa, the current president and chief executive officer of Tetris Online Inc, stated.
“Our goal is to continue to expand Tetris Friends Online Games over time with additional games and community features to become the premiere social gaming network on the web.”
