Feb 25th 2009 at 16:24 by Will Freeman

Leading casual developer PopCap has released its hugely popular puzzle game Peggle Nights for the Mac.
Together the original Peggle and its sequel have been downloaded over 45 million times, making the series one of the most successful for the company best known for its successful Bejeweled franchise.
Peggle Nights supports downloadable expansion packs, and next month PopCap is expected to release a free 10-level bonus level pack based on a seasonal spring theme. The forthcoming expansion pack will be the second released for the game.
The first Peggle originally launched for the PC in 2007, before ports to the iPhone, mobile and Mac, and versions are due for Xbox 360 and DS. Peggle Nights was released in 2008, and until the Mac port was a PC exclusive.
The game charges users with knocking away pegs with a stream of small balls, and is based on the Japanese coin-op Pachinko.
