Jan 14th 2009 at 14:07 by Will Freeman

Swedish company Accedo Broadband has developed a technology that allows those with internet-enabled televisions and the Yahoo! Widget Engine to access the Funspot range of casual titles, reports Connected Home News.
“Funspot contains the best of interactive casual games for the TV," said Accedo Broadband’s CEO Michael Lantz. "We are thrilled to bring the Funspot range of games to this new exciting technology. We will continue to expand and develop the service offering for the Yahoo! Widget Engine based on the customer feedback for the initial Funspot service.”
The Yahoo! Widget Engine, based on the Konfabulator PC widget platform, allows internet TV users to access services such as news, weather, FlickR and third-party content through their remote control, reports Connected Home News.
Accedo Broadband recently signed a deal with US firm CloverLeaf Digital to take its Funspot interactive TV services stateside.
