Bush’s shoe attack gets casual treatment

Proving that its finger is still on the topical pulse, Glasgow-based Flash games developer T-Enterprise has launched a game based on the shoe-throwing exploits of Iraqi journalist Muntadar al-Zaidi.

The Telegraph reports that footage of the weekend’s attack has already enjoyed half a million views on YouTube, and T-Enterprise’s title is also proving popular. The game sees players adopt the role of a Secret Service agent who must shoot the oncoming shoes from the air.

“If you watch the video clip, the Secret Service don't move to protect the President until the second shoe has been thrown,” T-Enterprise MD Sadi Chishti stated. “We're hoping the agents will use this game as a training aid for future footwear attacks on world leaders.”

T-Enterprise has a history of capitalising on topical news events, and has previously released titles based on the Heathrow Terminal 5 debacle, the famous divorce of Heather Mills and Sir Paul McCartney and comical Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
