Aurora Feint MMO coming to iPhone
Dec 1st 2008 at 17:27 by Ben Parfitt

Aurora Feint Inc’s debut iPhone and iPod Touch title, Aurora Fenit: The Beginning, has already proved a hit with gamers, and now the series is looking to be the first title to bring asynchronous MMO gaming to Apple’s machines.
Aurora Feint II: The Arena allows for head-to-head competition with other players regardless of whether they’re logged on to the title or not. This works by allowing players to compete against ‘ghosts’ of their rivals.
In addition, new World Newsfeed and Chat functions keep gamers updated with the latest Aurora Feint news via an on-screen ticker, the headlines of which can be clicked on at any time to take players to hub world the Tavern. All players will now also boast a Facebook-style profile page.
“We've raced to be the first asynchronous mobile MMO, or AMMMO, specifically designed for 'distractible' environments such as the iPhone,” Aurora Feint creators Jason Citron and Danielle Cassley stated.
“Gameplay is bursty, interruptible, and you don't know exactly when you will leave the game or when to expect your friends to be online. Yet even our casual gaming fans wanted massively multi-player capability and told us they would pay for it. So we built this AMMMO World where you can play at will in an MMO and still take a phone call in the middle without compromising game play.”
Aurora Feint Inc chairman Peter Relan added: “We had an overwhelming response to Aurora Feint: The Beginning and we are thankful for the support of our huge fan base. The iPhone has created an incredible platform for gaming that Jason and Danielle have taken to a new level with the introduction of a studio quality asynchronous MMO World.”
The game is due for release this Christmas at a price of $9.99.
