NeoEdge boosts sales team

In-game casual advertising specialist NeoEdge has appointed a trio of new faces to its executive sales team ahead of what it predicts will be a huge boom year in 2009 for the global in-game advertising sector.

Melissa Marra and Kevin Hicks have both been named as VPs for advertising sales and will both be based in New York, whilst Jenny Fine becomes senior director for advertising sales and will work from the firm’s LA office.

Marra joins from Entertainment Weekly where she served as national sales director for EW.com. She has also previously worked for Metacafe and CNET. Hicks’ former roles included stints at WorldNow, Hollywood Media Corp and WhitePages.com. Fine, who boasts over 12 years experience in online media, has previously worked for Zam Networks and LiveUniverse.

“In our challenging economy, advertisers are looking for the optimal use of every dollar, and they now recognize that premium, in-game advertising is a cost-effective way to reach a precisely targeted market with very high brand retention,” NeoEdge Networks CEO Alex Terry stated.

“Melissa, Kevin and Jenny all bring experience, high energy and a track record for success to the company and will ensure we take advantage of every opportunity the growing market presents.”
