Preece and Scott unveil Casual Collective

The creators behind one of the most successful casual Flash games of recent times have unveiled a brand new games portal that will showcase their latest titles to the online masses.
Casual Collective is currently fronted by Desktop Tower Defence 1.9, which for the first time brings multiplayer gaming to the series. Other titles currently on offer include word game Farragomate, platform outing Buggle Stars and multiplayer title Minions.
Casual Collective CEO David Preece, who has launched the site in conjunction with David Scott, said of the move: “The site is an effort to reach an even wider audience with a variety of game genres.”
Preece went on to say that the new business and distribution models offered by casual gaming could spell the end of the traditional console model.
“As far as distribution is concerned, Flash has everything beat,” he explained. “When Desktop Tower Defense launched it went from, without any advertising, from nobody playing it to half a million playing it a day in the space of two days. For Flash Elements that target was hit in a couple of hours. The way things spread across the internet is fantastic.”
