Second Life nookie leads to divorce

28-year-old British woman Amy Taylor has filed to divorce her huband after discovering that he had been sleeping with another woman… on a computer via the virtual world ‘game’ Second Life.

TechRadar reports that the lady cited ‘unreasonable behaviour’ in her filing.

“I went mad – I was so hurt,” Taylor stated. “I just couldn't believe what he'd done. I looked at the computer screen and could see his character having sex with a female character. It's cheating as far as I'm concerned.

“The solicitor wasn't at all surprised. She said it was her second divorce case involving Second Life that week.”

Interestingly, and somewhat delightfully, Taylor and her husband originally met in an online chatroom in 2003. And since the unfortunate Second Life incident, Amy has gone on to meet a new man – via Activision-Blizzard’s World of Warcraft.
