TransGaming to take I-play games to Mac
Nov 12th 2008 at 15:00 by Ben Parfitt

Oberon media, the parent company of leading casual games firm I-play, has struck a deal with Canadian firm TransGaming that will see many of the firm’s most popular casual titles ported to Intel-based Mac machines.
MarketWatch reports that I-play’s Mac games will be available via the GameTreeOnline service. The software porting is based on TransGaming’s Cider Portability Engine, which effectively ‘wraps’ the software with an Intel-friendly code structure.
Oberon’s highly popular Dream Day is one of the first titles to get the Mac makeover, and is available to download right now.
“We are very pleased to expand our existing relationship with Oberon Media to include a variety of TransGaming's industry leading technology solutions,” CEO and president of TransGaming Technologies Vikas Gupta stated.
“Casual game publishers have begun to recognize the value of TransGaming's Cider Engine to bring their content quickly and efficiently to the growing Mac community.”
