Oct 13th 2008 at 14:08 by Tim Ingham

Blaze has launched its MegaDrive handheld console, which contains games such as Sonic and Knuckles, Golden Axe, Shinobi and Ecco the Dolphin.
The system – which costs ‘the same as a single DS game’ according to the firm – is available from the High Street and the firm’s homepage from today.
Other games to be hooked on again include Alex Kidd - Enchanted Castle, Alien Storm Altered Beast, Arrow Flash, Crackdown, Decap Attack, Dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Ecco Junior, Flicky, Gain Ground, Jewel Master, Kid Chameleon, Sonic Spinball and Shadow Dancer.
You can watch a demonstration video here.

They say on their site that this is the first hand held Megadrive console.
This is incorrect:

the Sega Nomad came out a long time ago, except the nomad allowed you t use actual Megadrive cartridges rather than just having pre-loaded games.

Brazilian Tectoy company released a portable Mega Drive last year, which is exactly like this one. Blaze just copied the whole thing, including the case. Check for yourselves at:
