New Olympics game hits Facebook
Aug 7th 2008 at 10:38 by Tim Ingham

Sun Microsystems has announced the release of Mypicks Beijing 2008 for Facebook.
The title invites players to compete online with their friends by predicting the winners of the 2008 Olympics, which kick off tomorrow.
According to The Inquirer, Mypicks Beijing 2008 was created by Pramati Technologies using Zembly – Sun Microsystem’s new browser-based social application dev tool.
Co-founder and CTO of Pramati Vijay Pullur said that Zembly has created a new way for developers to easily build Facebook applications “without the cost and complexity of hosting and managing the application themselves”.
Sun describes Zembly as a social programming environment specifically designed for the creation and hosting of social applications for Facebook, Meebo, OpenSocial [and] the iPhone.
Mypicks Beijing 2008 is available on Facebook here.
