More ‘Master coming from Midway
Jul 22nd 2008 at 14:55 by Tim Ingham

Midway is to continue its ‘Master’ series beyond its TouchMaster and new Mechanic Master iterations, the company has confirmed to CasualGaming.biz.
The series has been a great success on DS so far, with last year’s TouchMaster reaching the upper limits of Europe’s DS software charts.
The firm announced TouchMaster 2 [More TouchMaster] would be released in at its Gamers’ Day earlier this year; and this month confirmed that Mechanic Master would be making its way to Nintendo’s system in the Autumn/Fall.
When asked about the potential of the latter, Midway European Marketing Director Leonie Manshanden told CasualGaming.biz:
“We’re going to be talking to first party [Nintendo] a lot for Mechanic Master, and are very hopeful they will recognise it in their promotional channels. What we haven’t had before is the ability to create your own levels and share them with friends via Wi-Fi.
"You can create your own content – a trend we’re seeing with the likes of Spore and LittleBigPlanet – on DS, which is very exciting for us, Nintendo and consumers.”
When asked if the Master series would continue, Manshanden, added:
“We’re definitely building franchises that are of strategic importance, and that’s certainly one. You can see that with Game Party and More Game Party as well.
