SciFi channel to start offering web casual games
Jul 22nd 2008 at 07:19 by Michael French

TV shows like Battlestar Galactica could soon be making the transition to casual games after IP owner SciFi announced it would add games based on its properties to its SciFi.com site.
The move was announced as part of a raft of new SciFi shows and ventures.
SciFi's new SciFi Ventures group will handle its games strategy.
The channel has already teamed up with US MMO developer Trion to develop an online title set in the same world as an upcoming TV show - but for more hardcore games SciFi will turn to parent company NBC Universal's recently acquired BigPoint games to supply casual titles for SciFi.com.
A range of casual games will be based on SciFi shows, the announcement said.
