Koch snaps up big TV licences for new casual label

Some of TV’s most popular game show franchise licences have been snapped up by Koch Media to be published as part of a new casual games label called As Seen On TV.

Featuring the likes of The Magic Roundabout and daytime TV favourites Golden Balls and Deal or No Deal, the family orientated range is set for release in time for Christmas in the UK.

One of the first As Seen On TV titles is a 3D sequel to 2007’s popular Deal or No Deal game, which will be released for Wii and DS. Other titles include Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old? on DS and Professor Heinz Wolff’s Gravity on Wii and DS.

Koch will be supporting the As Seen On TV range through trade marketing initiatives, coupled with consumer focused campaigns in print and on TV.

The mass market titles will also feature in-game presentations from the likes of Noel Edmonds and Jasper Carrot and will be promoted throughout the Christmas period and beyond.

The games will also get 'bold new packaging' and will be available at impulse prices.

“We are delighted to be launching the As Seen On TV range during the key Christmas retail period,” said Koch Media’s managing director Craig McNicol.

“With its strong visual branding, competitive price point and superb line up of much-loved titles and TV personalities, we expect this to be a massive hit with family audiences over the Christmas season.”

The As Seen On TV games will be priced at £29.99 for the Wii SKUs and £19.99 for DS titles.
