‘I don’t care about casual gamers’, says WiiWare dev

The developer of popular and critically acclaimed WiiWare title Eternity’s Child has stated that he ‘doesn’t care about casual games’.
In an interview on games site Konsolifin – which has since been taken down – Bernard was asked: Do you feel that Eternity’s Child is aimed more at serious gamers (hardcore gamers, if you wish) or is it also a good choice for so-called casual gamers?
His response was an abrupt one: “I don’t care about casual gamers.”
However, Bernard has since told WiiWare World:
“I'm just not into casual games, that’s what I meant. I don't even play video games that much anymore because they are either all the same with a big muscle man on steroids, or its casual games and I'm just not into them.
“There are loads of publishers who create casual games if you want to play them, but I won’t be making any.”
