Take Two has revealed that more games in its Carnival Games franchise will be released on its 2K Play label this year.
According to the company, the original Carnival Games has sold 1.5 million copies on Wii since its release
The new titles include the previously announced Carnival Games on DS, which is release in July, and Carnival Games Mini Golf on Wii, which the company hasn’t yet given a release date.
Yesterday, Take Two posted quarterly net profit of $98.2 million for the three months to May 31st, up $149.4 million from a net loss of $51.2 million for Q2 2007.
Speaking to investors after reporting the results, CEO Ben Feder said:
“Continuing the growth of our casual games business, 2K Play will reveal Carnival Games for DS and Carnival Games mini-golf for Wii. Carnival Games for the Wii has sold over 1.5 million units so far and the title is still going strong at retail.
“The DS title is shipping in July and is receiving strong support from Nintendo, who is currently offering it on their demo download stations in stores, and are also planning to have demos of the title place on their in-store kiosks.”
