'iPhone games will be priced around $25'

Apple plans to charge a premium for iPhone and iPod Touch games, according to a studio working on one of the first titles for the touch-screen-based handsets.
Games for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch will reportedly cost around €17-18 (or $25), according to European team LemonQuest.
Its first game for the mobile devices at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference next week.
On average, mobile games usually cost under $10. Currently, games for the wheel-based iPods cost $8.
Speaking to PocketGamer, LemonQuest's CEO Ignacio Cavero said Apple's "games will be sold in iTunes for €17-18".
Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference promises to reveal more about iPhone development after the software development kit for the platform was released in Beta form earlier this year.
Apple is putting together an 'Application Store' which lets iPhone and iPod Touch developers download and pay for content via their devices using an iTunes account.
At the Store's unveiling, EA and Sega had confirmed they were making games - adaptations of Spore and Super Monkey Ball - for the platform.
LemonQuest itself says it is working on "a big UK licence, and we're using all the capabilities of the iPhone" for its first iPhone game.

Got to be a worry for retail. If the next DS uses some kind of iTunes download system, we can kiss goodbye to casual making us so much money.

This sounds like bogus information, or at least not the whole story. The apple website clearly states that the price of iPhone apps will be at the discretion of the developer.

I'm sure you'll see casual games at casual game prices. I expect there will be a range of prices for games.

Apple can only plan to "charge a premium" on games that Apple make, which will be few and far between relative to output from EA, Sega and the like. As has been established, developers are free to set the price of their own products, on which Apple take a 30% cut for the hosting and delivery service.
