Zoo Games parent acquired
May 27th 2008 at 10:18 by Tim Ingham

The company formerly known as Zoo Digital Publishing is set to have a new parent, following the buyout of GreenScreen Interactive by Los Angeles-based Mandalay Media.
The announcement of the deal comes just one month after New York-based GreenScreen snapped up Zoo and Destination Software – merging the two companies into casual gaming label Zoo Games.
The publisher’s first release will be casual cooking title Order Up! (pictured), which is due for release on July 22nd. The game was developed by another GreenScreen subsidiary, SuperVillain Studios.
Financial terms of the Mandalay deal have not been not disclosed.
GreenScreen is the latest games venture established by GT Interative founder Ron Chaimowitz.
Mandalay Media was set up to acquire various digital distribution, interactive entertainment and online publishing firms. Mandalay also recently merged with mobile entertainment publisher Twistbox Entertainment.
