Big Fish Games eyeing up XBLA and WiiWare?

CEO and president of Big Fish games Jeremy Lewis has hinted to CasualGaming.biz that the firm’s most popular titles may soon make their way to Xbox Live and Nintendo’s WiiWare service.

In an exclusive interview, Lewis also talked at length about his company’s market leading position, thoughts on comptition from ‘established’ firms such as EA and Activision – and the secret to Big Fish’s success.

Casualgaming.biz asked Lewis: "Would you consider expanding Big Fish Games’ reach to the likes of Xbox Live and WiiWare in future?"

He replied: “At Big Fish Games, we develop the world's leading casual game brands, and we will continue to expand our audience by opportunistically licensing our content to alternative platforms.”

Lewis was also cryptically positive when asked about the possibility of Big Fish porting its games to Apple’s iPhone and iPod.

He said:

“Big Fish Games’ Studios game catalog on Apple devices? Hmm, that could be quite compelling for consumers…”

I think beating established companies like the Ubisofts and Activisions of the world to new platforms like downloadable console games and iPod will be the casual games industry's strength going forward - they can move quicker and understand creating simple games for a variety of interfaces much better.
